We are currently looking for suitably qualified individuals for the role of Heavy Vehicle Driver – POM.

 

The Role & its Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to safely, timely, and reliably deliver LPG to customers in compliance
with HSE standards and business procedures. The role is responsible for carrying out basic
services and maintenance of vehicle and truck fleet by ensuring the fleet is well maintained, in
safe running condition always and all statutory requirements are met at all times. Other duties
include:

  • Ensure compliance with all HSE Policies & SOP’s
  • Carry out safe delivery of LPG to Geogas customers and Geogas branches, mainlands
    and offshore using cylinder delivery trucks/ Bulk Road tankers
  • Conduct customer site and tank inspection and reporting faulty equipment and
    installation non-compliance Service and Installation Team.
  • Ensure truck is safe for delivery through daily PM Checks to ensure trucks are well
    maintained in safe running condition always and all statutory requirements are met at
    all times
  • Timely processing of delivery schedules bulk and cylinder to ensure daily, weekly and
    monthly sales targets are met consistently.
  • Conduct Daily HSE and maintenance checks.
  • Load and Unload Product, in strict compliance to standard operating procedures
  • Complete all mandatory required documentation including delivery dockets
  • Complete reconciliation at end of shift
  • Check the test status of cylinders at customers sites
  • Sales budgets are achieved through timely delivery of LPG for bulk and retail

The person we seek must have the following qualifications and experience.

  • Minimum Grade 10 or 12 education
  • Must have Class 4 and 6 Driving Licenses
  • First Aid Certificate is an advantage
  • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in Heavy Vehicle Driving or similar role
  • Experience in Cartage of dangerous goods is an advantage
  • Exposure to HSE Best practices.
