Friday, November 29, 2024Geogas PNG participated in the SHAVE TO SAVE event on November 29, 2024, as part of the Trupela Mahn Outreach Prevention and Education Program (TMOPEP). This initiative, organized by the PNG Cancer Foundation, aims to raise awareness about men’s health issues, particularly cancers that disproportionately affect men in Papua New Guinea, such as oral, prostate, and colon cancer.
The event was scheduled from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at T-Wharf, Harbourside. As part of their involvement, Geogas PNG nominated three male representatives to shave their beards or moustaches to support this important cause. The SHAVE TO SAVE event is a key component of the November Mausgras Campaign, which seeks to normalize discussions around men’s health and encourage proactive health measures among men in the community.
