Heavy Vehicle Drivers Competency Training – In-house for all sites: HGN, RAB, LAE, GKA & POM – Transport Emergency Response Plan, In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS).
Competency Training for all Heavy Vehicle Drivers was conducted.
• Transport Emergency Response Plan (TERP): This session covered the procedures and protocols to be followed in the event of a transportation-related emergency. It included steps for ensuring safety, minimizing risks, and effectively managing incidents to protect both personnel and assets. This training enhances safety through competent drivers handling emergencies, reducing accident and injury risks. Improved compliance ensures drivers are well-versed in regulatory requirements and company policies.
• In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS): This session provided training on the use and benefits of the in-vehicle monitoring system. Drivers learned how to operate the system, understand its data, and utilize it to enhance driving safety and efficiency. The IVMS tracks various metrics such as speed, braking patterns, and overall vehicle performance and the driver’s behavior. The benefit of this training is increased efficiency as drivers optimize their habits with IVMS, leading to fuel savings and reduced vehicle wear. Additionally, IVMS provides data-driven insights for continuous improvement in driving practices and fleet management.
